We know that providing work opportunities to transcriptionists new to the field requires an investment of our time and
resources as they are mentored into medical transcription.
In the Interscribe Training Course, medical transcriptionists will study:
- Medical language (including Greek and Latin suffixes, prefixes, and roots), biological science,
including anatomy and physiology of all body systems and various disease processes.
- Introduction to the basics of medical science
- Medical and surgical procedures, involving instruments, supplies, appliances, and prosthetic devices
- Laboratory values for basic and simple correlation of laboratory test results with a patient's diagnosis and treatment
- Use of medical reference materials and research techniques
